We’ve all heard the mantra pushed by pharmaceutical companies, the Centers for Disease Control, and politicians still sore at RFK Jr. for leaving the Democrat Party — “Vaccines don’t cause autism.”
It turns out that is a bald-faced lie, and the government has known it since at least 2010.
A 2010 study at the National Institutes of Health found that children who received the Hepatitis B vaccine have “a threefold higher risk” of developing autism than their unvaccinated peers.
This study illustrates the monumental importance of Liberty Counsel’s work defending lawful religious exemptions from vaccines.
Catherine R.* narrowly escaped this fate, thanks to your support of Liberty Counsel.
Catherine was a straight-A student when school security guards barged into her 7th-grade classroom. The guards physically removed her from class as if she were a dangerous criminal. She was expelled from school.
Catherine’s “crime” was her family’s deeply held religious faith.
New York state law then allowed individuals to receive exemption from vaccines based on their religious beliefs. Catherine’s parents chose not to give their daughter the Hepatitis B vaccine. Their deeply held religious beliefs prevented them from injecting foreign substances into their bodies, which they believe to be the temple of the Holy Spirit.
Hepatitis B can be transmitted in one of three ways: at birth if the mother has Hep B, dirty needles, or se*ual activity with someone who is infected.
As a young 7th grader, Catherine was not se*ually active, nor did she use needles to inject drugs. Therefore, there was no scientific need for her to receive the Hep B shot.
But the highly politicized school board decided to ignore the law, reject Catherine’s religious exemption, and instead expel this straight-A student!
Liberty Counsel filed suit and forced the school board to obey the law and honor the family’s legal and rightful religious exemption so that Catherine could return to school.
The Hepatitis B vaccine is not the only vaccine that has been linked to autism. And there may well be additional environmental factors that have driven the increased rates of autism in our society.
Last week, U.S. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced his agency is launching “massive testing and research” into the autism epidemic strangling America. He plans to examine any and all factors, including vaccines, so that we can eradicate this epidemic once and for all.
Autism IS an epidemic. In the 1970s, autism occurred in 1 in 10,000 individuals. In 1986, Congress absolved vaccine makes from any and all liability for injuries and deaths their shots cause, and then the Centers for Disease Control (whose board is populated by former pharmaceutical executives) massively expanded vaccine “recommendations.” School boards and local governments began treating those recommendations as mandates.
By the 1990s, 1 in 1,000 people had autism. Despite this, yet MORE vaccines were added to the CDC’s shot list.
As of 2022, 1 in 31 American children had autism.
And in California, the state with the strictest vaccination laws, that number is 1 in 22.
Despite television shows celebrating high functioning, “super genius” autistic people like Elon Musk, the reality of autism is starkly different for most families. For many, autism means 9-year-olds in diapers, 13-year-olds with just 26-word vocabularies, and 17-year-olds for whom even the slightest visual or audio disturbance causes them to beat their heads bloody on the floor because the stimulation is simply too painful for their minds and bodies to process.
God is all knowing and all seeing, past, present, and future. God informed us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 to keep our bodies pure.
We DO know that God and our nation’s Founders gave Americans religious freedom rights. That includes the right to refuse to violate one’s personal religious beliefs — including refusing government bureaucrats’ orders to inject foreign and often abortion-linked substances into our bodies.
ONLY your direct financial support allows us to defend life, religious liberty, and the natural family. Without YOU, families like Catherine’s would be forced to relinquish their religious freedom rights.
