No More "Government-Mandated Gay"

Stop the “Government-Mandated Gay
That’s what ex-gay Ken Williams says is really behind the Christian change counseling bans.

I wrote to you earlier this week about Ken who had been sexually abused as a child. By the time Ken was 17, he was suicidal over the unwanted attractions that plagued him. Christian counseling saved his life ... but now it’s banned in 87 cities and states.

The U.S. Supreme Court has agreed to hear the case Chiles v. Salazar, which will decide whether states can ban this lifesaving practice in favor of a politically motivated LGBTQ agenda.

Liberty Counsel was the first to challenge these harmful counseling bans going back to 2012 in California. We just filed our brief with the High Court.

Ken’s story needs to be heard

“I wanted a wife and my own children,” says Ken. “I wanted friendships with other men without treating them as objects — both seemingly unattainable for me in the midst of my struggle.”

Thankfully, Christian change counseling was still legal in California at the time. It saved Ken’s life.

“If counseling bans had been law in 1989, blocking me from the therapy I was asking for, I probably would have killed myself. I would not have been satisfied with a government-mandated gay identity.”

In cities and states where Christian change counseling is banned, counseling people like Ken is FORBIDDEN — even for those desperately seeking such counsel. The only counseling available in such jurisdictions is a government mandated pro-LGBTQ agenda that is harmful and can be deadly.

In these Christian counseling ban cities and states, counselors are REQUIRED BY LAW to AFFIRM gender confusion and homosexuality, even if that is the exact opposite of what the patient desires.

The effect is just like Ken says — “government-mandated gay.”

Beginning in the Obama years, and reinforced during the Biden era, a cabal of leftist billionaires and Democratic officials began leveraging their influence to infiltrate Christian churches with LGBTQ ideals. Those Christians and pastors who did not bend on biblical principles found themselves censored ... and Christian counselors are among the most visible victims.

Help us WIN Chiles v. Salazar!

Counseling is a lot like a GPS map system. The client tells the counselor where they want to go, and the counselor helps them reach that destination.

But Christian change counseling bans FORBID the GPS from reaching one specific destination — freedom from gender confusion and unwanted sexual attractions, found through our savior, Jesus Christ.

Instead, the only destination these bans allow the client to reach is the destination dictated by the LGBTQ.

Not only are the Christian counseling bans an attack on the church, they are also classic viewpoint discrimination. Neither city, state, nor federal government agencies may discriminate against or ban activities just because that government entity disagrees with the religious viewpoint. Liberty Counsel has already won several cases on these grounds, including overturning the Christian change counsel bans in Florida, Alabama, and Georgia.

Now, we are fighting to free the entire country of these devastating Christian counseling bans. But we need your direct financial support! Every donation made to our legal fund today will be DOUBLED in impact by a special Challenge Grant. Please, give generously so we can overturn every single Christian counseling ban in our land!

In addition to a single gift, please sign up for a monthly recurring gift.

And please, pray for the young men and women struggling to escape the government and the LGBTQ’s transgender trap.
